Hailing from the town of Oakville and a graduate of the neighbouring White Oaks High School, Kris Lindvik's local roots created a source of pride and inspiration that extended beyond the Bruin community. Lindvik's journey at Sheridan as a downhill skiing phenom has earned her a well-deserved induction into the Sheridan Bruins Hall of Fame. Her legacy was cemented in 1974 when she was named the Bruins Athlete of the Year.
Those who witnessed Kris' ability to navigate the slopes were treated to the sight of a fearless athlete who understood how to create optimal speed while dancing on the edge of crashing. Kris' exploits were impossible for the competition to match. During her remarkable tenure with the Sheridan Bruins downhill alpine skiing team from 1972 to 1975, Kris Lindvik showcased a level of dominance in her sport- she never lost a downhill race. There are few athletes in the history of the OCAA who have achieved an unblemished record. Kris Lindvik's contribution to the history and passion surrounding Bruin athletics will now be enshrined in the Varsity Hall of Fame.
