Oakville, Ont - After winning the cross over game against the St. Lawrence Vikings 5-1, the Men's soccer team were headed out to Fleming College for the OCAA Championships.
After a Quarter Final victory 2-0 against the Durham Lords, the Bruins went on to play the Fanshawe Falcons in the Semi Finals. Throughout the first half of the semi-final game the team held their own, staying tight and unified through every switch of play, as well as they were able to quickly adjust and adapt when the Falcons were in position on the ball. Defensively, the Bruins kept the Falcons back being sure to go into the second half with zeros on the board. In the second half, the Bruins continued with the same amount of energy as from the first, unfortunately, toward the end of the game the Falcons scored two goals taking a 2-0 win, which resulted in the Bruins moving into the Bronze Medal Match against the Seneca Sting. Sadly, for the last post game season the Bruin's struggled to play with the same level of confidence they been playing with all season and because of this the Bruins were unfortunately defeated 5-1. Finishing the season off 4th overall.
To close off the completed soccer season, on October 24th hosted by the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) was the Annual Award ceremony. A congratulations is in order for the 2019 award winners: Jevontae Layne, Chester Ashby, Anthony Wright, Quentin Williams, and Spencer Barber.
