Men's Volleyball: Ready to Bounce Back

Oakville, Ont – The Men's Volleyball team are off to a bumpy start, but they have showed they are ready to compete and demonstrated to the opposing teams they will not back down easily.

The Bruins opened their season in late October against the Mohawk Mountaineers (1-4). The Bruins showed up to play, winning the first set, however their stamina did not withstand the remaining 3 sets, as the Mountaineers took the game 3-1.

Next up they faced the Conestoga Condors (5-1), where the Bruins battled hard but were not successful in getting enough points. The Condors took the win 3-0 over the Bruins.

Opening up the month of November, the Bruins were on the road in Ancaster taking on the Redeemer Royals (3-1). The Bruins started off strong, winning the first set 25-21, but losing the remaining three sets and the game to the Royals 3-1.

Last weekend the Bruins hosted their rivals the Humber Hawks (3-0) on home court. The gym was full of enthusiasm and noise to cheer on the Bruins. Unfortunately, the Hawks were the better team on the court and took the game 3-0 over the Bruins.

With a tough start to the season, the Bruins are looking for a win tomorrow at Niagara College taking on the Knights (4-1). The Bruins have been showing up to compete and motivate their teammates, and hopefully that teamwork will begin to pay off tomorrow!

Good luck Bruins!
