Women's Soccer Wins First Game of Post Season

Oakville, Ont - What a great season for the Varsity Women's Soccer team finishing third in the West Division for the season with an overall record of 6-2-1, and setting a new team total goal scoring record of 32 goals. The lady Bruins throughout the season played with effort, dominance and passion on the field. With strong efforts the team held tight both defensively and offensively every game, using all ends of the field in creating multiple scoring opportunities that were then optimized for goal success. Now that the season has come to an end, the lady Bruins have made their way into playoffs, successfully winning in the first round of playoffs against the George Brown Huskies 3-0. For the second round of playoffs the Bruins will be up against the Algonquin Thunder (8-1), who finished second in the East Division, and who beat the St. Clair Saints 1-0 in their first game of playoffs.

The Bruins are on their way to Redeemer, the host of the 2019 Women's Soccer Championships, for their quarterfinals game at 12:30pm on Wednesday Oct. 23rd. Be sure to come out to cheer them on and sport your Double Blue!
