Women's Volleyball announces first 2019 recruiting commitment

OAKVILLE, ON. - The Sheridan Bruins Women's Volleyball team announced today the commitment of Katherine Konkle (Niagara, ON). 

"I am looking forward to joining Sheridan Bruins volleyball and am excited by the opportunity to learn and advance my skills while playing with other talented players at the varsity level" said Konkle "I was very impressed by the team and immediately felt welcomed by the players."

Konkle graduated from E.L. Crossley Secondary School, where her volleyball team won the 2019 Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) Championship. Outside of school, Konkle was also on the Niagara Rapids Volleyball Club team, and just as successful, finishing 4th overall in Ontario. 

"We are thrilled that Katherine has decided to choose Sheridan as her home for the next three years. Katherine brings a tremendous amount of core skills and great volleyball IQ." said Head Coach, Amar Balkaran, "From knowing Katherine in such a small period of time, I know that she will bring the Women's program to a new level and will succeed in her academic endeavors at Sheridan. We are truly excited to see how she develops through the summer leading into next season."

Konkle has accepted an offer to Sheridan Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees, located at the Davis Campus in Brampton.
