Women's Volleyball Adds Second Recruit

Oakville, ON- The Sheridan Bruins Women's Volleyball team announced today the commitment of Tany Dourev(Niagara, On.), making her the second addition in the 2019 recruiting class.

"We are super excited to having Tany join the Sheridan Women's Volleyball team this upcoming season. Her great setting abilities and skills has already taken Sheridan to another level of volleyball and we can't wait to see how she grows over her time at Sheridan." said Head Coach Amar Balkaran "Her leadership and volleyball IQ will surly bring Sheridan's Women's program to another level and we can't wait to see it."

Dourev is a well-rounded player who can play multiple positions, Opposite Hitter, Outside Hitter and Setter. A Saint Michael Catholic High School Graduate, she played for the Niagara Rapids 17U Legend club team. Her team was very successful, winning the Ontario Volleyball 17U Premier Division, finising top 5 at the 17U/18U Provincials, top 5 in the 17U D1 Nationals and earning silver in the National Division at the Presidents Day Cup in the United States. 

"Sheridan is a great school for those who want to pursue their creative talents and was one of my top choices." said Dourev "My program is going to take me in a new direction that I've never gone in before and I'm excited to see what I'll learn!"

Dourev has accepted an offer to Sheridan's Honours Bachelor of Interaction Design at the Trafalgar Campus in Oakville.
