Women's Volleyball: 'Setting' the Team up for Success

Oakville, Ont – The Women's Volleyball team is now 4 games into their season, where they have drawn some tough competitors to open up the year.

To start the season, their home opener did not go as well as they had hoped for, as they took a 3-0 loss to the Mohawk Mountaineers (5-0). However, the Bruins were able to turn it around for their second game against the Conestoga Condors (2-4), taking the first three games and winning the match 3-0. The Bruins have showed determination, skill and great teamwork so far and continue to show their opponents they are ready to compete.

Last week, they were on the road in Ancaster playing the Redeemer Royals (1-3) and the Royals defeated the Bruins 3-0. Just a couple days later the Bruins were hosting their rivals, the Humber Hawks (2-1) on Bruin territory, where the Bruins showed up to compete. With the gym filled with energy from the fans, the Bruins started off strong and motivated. After a hard battle, the Bruins were defeated by the Hawks 3-1.

Currently the Bruins have a record of 1 win, 3 losses. They are back on the road tomorrow against the Niagara Knights (3-2).

With a highly skilled team, positive attitudes and strong character within each player, the Bruins Women's Volleyball team will be an exciting team to watch this season!
