Mens & Women's Cross Country with Successful Finishes

Oakville, Ont - The Men's and Women's Cross Country seasons have been successful, they have now competed in 3 of their 4 invitational for the season, with Centennial being the last one on the regular season schedule prior to OCAA & CCAA Championships. 

On September 21st, the Cross Country team competed at the Western Invitational. It was a sunny, humid day and although the competition was mixed with Universities and Colleges, the Bruins did not back down; acting with continued drive and dedication the Men's 8km team placed 16th overall, and the Women's 6km team placing 14th overall, only a couple points behind St. Clair in 13th. 

 This past weekend, the Bruins were back on the bus heading out to London, for the Fanshawe Invitational. Both mens and Women's competed hard, resulting with the Men's team placing 3rd with an overall score of 54 points. Although the Women's team didn't place in the top 4 teams, Marla Brown finished 3rd overall indivudally, only seconds behind the second place runner. 

 Up next, the Cross Country teams will be heading to Toronto to compete in the Centennial Invitational on Saturday October 19th to finish off their regualr season.
